Gentle Brookfield, WI Dentist
Get to Know
Dr. Patrick Clancy
Dr. Clancy believes dentistry isn’t a one-way street, where the dentist simply tells the dental patient what they need. For him, the best part of his job is forming relationships with his dentistry patients, so he can work with them to identify and achieve their oral health and appearance goals. This approach leads to better care as well as more relaxed appointments, and Dr. Clancy can’t wait for you to come experience it firsthand at Elmbrook Family Dental.
Why Did You Become a Dentist?
Dr. Clancy developed an interest in the healthcare professions while in high school, and he eventually decided on dentistry while volunteering at a community dental clinic. He loves that dentistry allows him to work one-on-one with each patient while helping them keep their mouths healthy. He also likes that it allows him to use his hands to blend the fields of art and science in order to help people smile with confidence.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
After graduating from Marquette University, Dr. Clancy earned his dental degree from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. While there, he earned the university’s Distinction in Dental Public Health Award. Dr. Clancy prioritizes continuing education and always strives to stay up to date with the latest developments in the dental field. To date, he has taken many courses focused on subjects such as Invisalign, restorative dentistry, and dental implant restoration.
He is also a member of the American Dental Association, Wisconsin Dental Association, and Academy of General Dentistry.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Dr. Clancy and his wife (also a dentist) stay very busy taking care of their newborn twin boys. On the weekends, you will usually find Dr. Clancy running or walking the Milwaukee area trails, sipping a beverage at the nearest coffee shop, grabbing a beer at the nearest craft brewery, or enjoying a meal at a new Milwaukee area restaurant. He is also an avid sports fan and enjoys cheering on the Packers, Bucks, Brewers, Marquette Golden Eagles, and Iowa Hawkeyes!
